Disney's version of "Zorro" followed the popular Tyrone Power version very closely. It of course, had followed the Douglas Fairbanks silent version.

What stood out in Disney's Zorro was Guy Williams. He looked, talked, laughed as you would expect Zorro to do. It was a terrific series as was doing very well in the ratings when ABC forced it from the air. Walt Disney didn't want to push the "blood count" higher. With that and other disagreements, Disney took his shows and moved to NBC.

Today, Disney's Zorro still holds its charm with the best of them.
