Summary: In order to rescue a kidnapped princess, Xena has to blend in with an arms dealer who is responsible for the kidnapping, forcing her to pretend to be her former self. While there she runs into her old love Marcus, which leads to complications.

Lucy Lawless performed and wrote the dirge heard at Marcus' funeral (it is in Hassidic style). You also see the very same hot tub used by Xena to seduce Iolaus the year before in the series "Hercules: The Legendary Journey."
The "new" Xena kills less often than then "old" Xena, but still quite often. In this episode she kills one of Mezentius's soldiers by throwing a spear into his chest and kills Mezentius by throwing her chakram that slits his throat. The "new" Xena's body-count after this episode is 16.
