- A rotating cast of Dallas theatre/stage actors filled the various fantasy roles.
- There were actually five "Wishbones". One dog named Soccer, the main actor, and four "stunt" dogs named Phoebe, Bear, Slugger, and Shiner.
- Every episode was shot on two interior soundstages, and one exterior backlot. There was a "contemporary" set, and a "fantasy" set built for each episode.
