Three years later...
Nancy Botwin is sitting at parole board hearing and waiting for them to decide whether or not she’ll be released early. She only served less than a half of her jail time, but someone asked officers to rule on her case - now.
She will be released to a halfway house to serve the rest of the sentence or until it’s proved that she is rehabilitated. Nancy is confused because FBI promised her to put her into the Witness Protection Program, but that is off the table now since no one knows who Agent Lipshitz is.
Back at her jail cell, she is complaining to her cellmate Zoya about parole and she is afraid that Esteban Reyes will murder her as soon as she gets out. They say goodbye to each other and Zoya, along with baking gloves as a gift, gives Nancy a passionate kiss.
The officer escorts Nancy out of jail and she catches the bus.
In Coppenhagen, Denmark, unsatisfied woman Renata throws out Shane and his staff from her appartment. She is angry that he doesn’t want to commit to serious relationship and have a baby with her.
Shane (who is now 18 years old) thinks that it’s not a right time for this argument, since they have a show in half an hour. Renata fires him and says that he’ll never puppeteer in Coppenhagen again.
In other part of the town, Silas (who is now 24 years old) is preparing for a photo shooting. He is a popular model now (posing as a cover face for some 'weird flower water') and his face is seen on all billboards in the town.
Gunder, his manager, is not happy with Silas’ way of life and the effects it has on his looks.
In Freetown Christiania, Andy and Doug are working as a tour guides. Doug limited himself to tourist women only, as they always ready for vacation romance.
But, Andy is trying to become a fun, local man and he is running to be a leader of this small, but independent country.
In Manhattan, Nancy arrived at the halfway house. As soon as she registered, front desk clerk told her that she has a visitor. Agent Lipshitz came to tell her that the Witness Protection Program is no longer necessary for her.
A week ago, they found Estaban’s body in the prison yard. She is safe now. He says that her information was helpful for FBI and a lot of cartels are disbanded thanks to Nancy. She is happy to finally see her old clothes. Lipshitz asks her to sign some paperwork in order to close all connections between her and FBI.
Counselor Ed arrives and takes Nancy on a tour of the halfway house and introduces her to the rules – rimed into a song that is easy to remember.
She missed lunch and asks Ed to go out to buy something to eat. But, Ed can’t be fooled easy, he explains her that need to adjust to her new life. She has a migraine, and Ed finally allows her to go out and feel free for two hours.
Nancy goes to internet café and calls her sister, Jill Price-Grey. She wants to see her son who is now four years old.
Stevie suddenly appears on chat and calls her Aunt Nancy. After a couple brief moments with him, her sister says she has to go and turns off the computer.
Despite Nancy’s request, Jill immediately calls Shane, Silas, Andy and Doug and tells them that Nancy is out. Jill again didn’t let Stevie to talk to his family. They are trying to figure out why Nancy doesn’t want them to know that she is out of jail.
Nancy decided to use her free time as much as she can. She visits a sauna to 'relax', but woman she meets there doesn’t want to leave her alone.
Despite her presence, Nancy puts on her baking gloves and searches for a hidden key, left next to the hot rocks by her cellmate Zoya. She finds the key and leaves.
In Denmark, Shane decides to go to New York to find his mother. Andy remembers Nancy’s instruction – to run away and take care of her kids - but he is not sure if he should go and look for her.
Shane tells him to man up and make his own decision. Shane already bought a plane tickets for Andy and Doug. They will leave Silas in Copenhagen to continue his modeling career. Silas is glad that he is staying, since Nancy will just fuck them up again.

She carefully takes out the bag and brings it along.
