Comedian and actress Wanda Sykes stars as Wanda Hawkins struggling standup comic who suddenly finds herself in the spotlight she has always craved. She is hired as an on-air correspondent on a local Washington D.C. political talk show. Her best friend and segment producer Keith (Dale Godboldo) is thrilled that Wanda has finally joined the ranks of the employed.
