Summary: The local sheriff comes to a quick judgement when tragedy hits the town of Neptune when an accident occurs on a school outing. Veronica tries to give a grieving family member some solace when they feel that suicide may have been a contributing factor in the accident, by ruling out that possibility. When the daughter of a professional baseball player shows up as a new student at Neptune High, Wallace offers to help her find the person who damaged her car in the school parking lot. Keith is surprised when mayoral candidate Woody Goodman asks him to consider running for sheriff.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CREW: As Jackie's father enters her room at 9:44, you can see a crew member's head reflected in the mirror at the left edge of the frame.
CONT: As Veronica walks away from Duane Anders at the convenience store the cup she is holding is full/empty/full between shots.
CONT: Jackie's father's grip on his car keys changes in every shot.
CREW: In the opening shot of the episode, as the camera moves left and up to track Veronica you can see it reflected in the glass front of the display case.
BOOM: At 35:58 as Mr. Casablancas is sneaking up on Cassidy, and again at 36:14 as Cassidy is cleaning up, you can see the boom microphone reflected in the window glass in the background.
