MISTAKES/GOOFS
- PLOT: The way the orbit disruptor cannon is built makes no sense: it has human-height control panel and large switch marked with huge letters "OVER LOAD", conveniently enabling BOT to operate the cannon against the Decepticons and destroy it.
- CHAR: Megatron's insistence that Bruticus will fire the orbit disruptor cannon does not make sense: if there was need for Decepticon combiner, Megatron could use either Devastator or Menasor, who are more reliable than Bruticus. As things turned to be, even small primitive robot like BOT could operate the cannon effectively - so there was no real need for Bruticus or any of the combiners. Thus Megatron or any of the other Decepticons could fire the cannon as well.
- FAKE: Although according to Bumblebee the condemned building has at least thirty floors, there are only twelve indicator lights above the elevator doors.
- CONT: When picking up the distress signal from the school, Gears says "It's coming from a one-level brick structure". But when the Autobots arrive at the school, it's clearly a two-story building.
- CONT: After Bruticus is blown to pieces, Swindle comes out of the junk pile from beneath yellow board, although the only yellow part of Bruticus is Swindle himself.
TRIVIA
- The last episode of season 2, the final one that takes place in the eighties. The following entries, the movie and season 3 all happen 20 years later in the storyline.
- On top of the building, where the Protectobots' headquarters is located, there is advertising billboard for E-Cola.
- Many Transformers fans think of this episode as the worst in the department of story-telling. It has various plot and animation oddities, and the characters are rather unlikable as well. Above that, the villains' plan is so over-complicated, that it hardly makes sense.
