The title was changed several times. Originally going as "Hollywood Mew Mew" then "Mew Mew" finally changed to Mew Mew Power (U.S. working title)
In Japanese Zakuro means pomegranate and Ichigo means strawberry.
Mint's ballet school is called the Ikumi Ballet Group. This is a reference to Tokyo Mew Mew mangaka Mia Ikumi.
Before Mia Ikuma and Reiko Yoshida made the "Tokyo Mew Mew" Manga, they originally planned their main character to be a darker colored, moody Ichigo. But then they changed their plans and went with the sweet pink Ichigo we have today.
Ichigo has been described as 11, 12, 13, and 16 years of age. Her correct age, according to the Japanese anime, is 12-13 years old (on the back cover of the Japanese version of book, Ichigo is described as being 12 years old). In the second version of the anime intro sequence she says she is 13 years old.
