Summary: Kevin starts along the Boston Marathon route, which passes by the project house, where he talks to four time champion Bill Rodgers. At the project house, Norm discusses the complex painting job – it will keep six men busy for three weeks. Roger has begun work on the bluestone patio and stairs, and shares installation techniques with Kevin. Inside, Tom pours a small concrete pad where a set of basement stairs came out, and upstairs explains the process of insulating the house. In a third floor “man cave” Norm talks with the homeowner about an antique pool table, and back at ground level Kevin helps Tom wrap the porch pillars with shingles, carefully forming a flared base.
