[show]Matthew Newton was originally announced as Season 2 host, and had filmed several hours worth of footage during the audition & bootcamp stages. However, due to negative publicity from an alleged altercation with his girlfriend Rachael Taylor (II), Matthew resigned from his position as host, just one week before the first episode went to air. This caused last minute re-edits to remove all footage of Matthew from the show, as replacement Luke Jacobz was called upon to host.
