Summary: A severely deformed man is captured in the X-Files office while trying to steal documents about Mulder's sister. Doggett and Scully becomes suspicious of his real identity when his DNA is found to match that of Mulder.

Mistakes/Goofs

Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): At 4 minutes 50 seconds into the program, the mysterious character is walking across the hard floor on the way to the x-files office. You clearly hear the sound that would be made by a pair of dress shoes, but the character is wearing tennis shoes which would make no sound.

Trivia

At the beginning of the episode, Scully sings Three Dog Night's "Joy to the World" to her son, William. This is the second time in the series Scully has sung, and has sung that particular song. The other was in Season 5's "Detour", in which she sings it to Mulder in the middle of the woods.
