[he squeaks like a kitten] Wizard: [chuckling politely] Well, don't worry, Lion. It's like I always say, it's what you say not how you say it that really matters... Did I say that right? |
| Unknown Episode: Wizard: Not having fear isn't brave, it's foolhardy. Any real hero knows fear. Cowardly Lion: I'll tell you one thing though, so does a real coward. Wizard: The difference is a hero masters his fear. |
| Unknown Episode: Glinda the Good: Congratulations, dear brave ones. Everyone in Oz is celebrating your victory. Dorothy: And the Wizard? Have you seen him? Glinda the Good: No, but I've heard he's quite safe. Although I don't have the power to bring him to Emerald City, I can help. [She waves her wand and a star appears in the sky] Dorothy: What a beautiful little star! Tin Woodman: Just like an emerald! Glinda the Good: That's what we'll call it, the Emerald Star. As long as it shines you'll know the Wizard is alive and well, and the Wicked Witch won't be able to see him in her crystal ball as long as he stays in his balloon. Dorothy: Thank you, Glinda. Now, it's up to us. We'll bring the Wizard back here, and throw that old Witch out of Oz! Tin Woodman: You can bet on it, Dorothy Scarecrow: And we'll find the Wizard! Cowardly Lion: A piece of cake! A snap of the fingers! |
| Unknown Episode: The Wicked Witch of the West: Look over there, Lion. Cowardly Lion: My Medal of Courage! The Wicked Witch of the West: That's right, and I might just consider an even trade! Bring me Dorothy, and I'll give you back your courage! Cowardly Lion: My... courage! The Wicked Witch of the West: So Lion, what will it be? Hmm? Cowardly Lion: No! [grabs her broom and breaks it] That's what I think of your bargain! Go ahead, do your worst, but I'll never let my friends down! Not even for my Courage! |
| Unknown Episode: Scarecrow: It's all my fault; the Wizard put me in charge when he left. If I'd only used my brain I would have known that Wicked Witch would be back! Tin Woodman: No, it's my fault! If I only used my heart I would have felt the witch coming! [sniffles] Cowardly Lion: I should have knocked that Witch silly! If I only used my courage... I would have been there! Dorothy: But it's not your fault, not any of you! And you do have a brain, and you have a heart, and you have courage... most of the time. You must believe that, all of you! Scarecrow: [sighs] I wish it were true. |

We need the Wizard, and an army, and bazookas, and Glinda, and... Dorothy: All we need is ourselves! If we believe, we can do it. |

Cowardly Lion: I'm not a bear, and I don't feel like grinning. Ow! Scarecrow: Well, you shouldn't have sat down on these, and why do you think they call them prickly pumpkins? Cowardly Lion: I thought maybe they were just disagreeable. |
