gpzere Mar 23, 2008 10:35PM	I hadn't heard of this show until it was in it's last season, and I don't know why, this was a great series with lots to offer. Sadly they killed off my favorite character, Bodie, in the end of season 4. But I quickly grew to connect for Michael in the last season. Overall, a great series, with lots to offer, it's sad that they cut it so soon, I think they could have ended season 5 better and ran it on for a lot longer.	+0

guerrilla Feb 27, 2008 12:27AM	This is not a cop show. This is a show about life in many inner cities across the US, and the reality of their dismal situations. From growing up in the streets to capital hill, this is real life for to many Americans. This is by far the best season as everything comes full circle. The most moving piece in this true to life story is the 4 intelligent black youths. 3 of whom are subjugated by the system and fall prey to the many pitfalls of the streets, surviving the best way they know how, and of of course 1 who through seemingly insurmountable odds becomes the exception.	+3

dradagio Jan 7, 2008 5:44PM	Outstanding show, addictive, compeling characters with a realism seldom fully explored in TV formats. Having lived in an inner city (NY) much of my life I can truly say this show tells it like it is.	+0
scottishbostonboy Dec 20, 2007 8:00PM	The best show on television period. There is no question about how unbelievable the script and acting is, but what stands out is the show's social commentary. It is truly a beacon of reality screaming for us to make a change in our society and how it is run.	+3
neil7908 Nov 2, 2007 12:32AM	is been said before, but the show can be a little hard to get into if your used to things like the shield and 24 but its defintitely worth the wait as once you get past the first few episodes you will soon be hooked by the excellent script and acting, and the sheer depth and realism of the story. i would rank the show as being as good as the sopranos and much better than lost, heroes etc	+2
devaasha Nov 1, 2007 1:13AM	There is something essentially different with the Wire that one doesn't see in most cop/perp shows. The closest I've found is "Homicide: Life on the Streets" but The Wire surpasses that. It draws you into each character's life in a way that allows you to understand them, even the "bad" guys. Can't wait for season 5. I hear it's in the can, so if the writers strike we should still get it (fingers crossed).	+3
newlinux Sep 24, 2007 1:42PM	This show is unbelievable. I watched all 4 seasons over the summer. After the first episode I was hooked and had to watch an episode every night, sometimes 2 or 3 episodes. It is the best show I have seen on TV in a while... maybe ever. I can't wait for season 5. Intricate plot twists, good acting, realism, characters you can connect with, drama, comedy, action, suspense. What more do you want?	+2
