Summary: Dr. Venture embarks on a soul-searching expedition across the globe after the deaths of his sons; so does Dr. Orpheus whom becomes consumed with guilt after the deaths of Dean and Hank. Brock seems unaffected and prepares to repair his car. Meanwhile, the Monarch plans to break out of prison with help from some villainous inmates.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

PLOT: SPOILER: Dr. Venture is clearly upset due to the boys' deaths in the beginning of the episode, even though it is revealed at the end that he's used to seeing them die on a regular basis. He even jokes about it at the end, making fun of Dr Orpheous for being so upset about it.

TRIVIA

In the episode "Powerless in the Face of Death," Brendon Small of "Home Movies" (1999) fame did several guest voices. In the jail where the Monarch is being held, he calls an inmate with five arms "Septopus," as he has seven limbs. The Septopus was a sea creature in one of the movies in "Home Movies" (1999).
