Goof (factual errors): In the beginning of the episode First Responders, when we see the aircraft firing an Air-to-Ground missile, the internal view is from the inside is of an F/A-18 Hornet but the external view is of an F-15.
Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Colonel Ryan says, "...You got the bad guys, oorah!" The term 'oorah' is the motivational phrase of the Marine Corps. Since The Unit is an Army unit, the correct term should have been 'hooah'. This has been attributed to 'Robert Patrick' having played more Marine Corps characters then Army characters.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): At the scene were the African soldiers drive away in the jeep, the production tent is clearly visible in the right hand side.
Goof (plot holes): How did The Unit members (apart from Jonas, who took a plane) return to the US from Spain in less than a day?
Goof (factual errors): The King of Spain has not power to call for an anti-terrorist mission nor to cancel it.
Goof (factual errors): The Guardia Civil corps only operate in rural areas, not in big cities like Valencia (whose image is far from the "primitive" version seen in the episode, by the way).
Goof (anachronisms): Today, Guardia Civil agents only wear the old-fashioned tricorne (the trapezoid-like hat seen in the episode) in ceremonies. In service they use caps similar to the ones of the French Gendarmerie, but in Green color.
Goof (factual errors): Guardia Civil agents would never identify themselves as "Policía".
Goof (factual errors): The uniforms of the policemen seen in this episode are slightly modified versions of the ones used by the Italian Carabinieri, not the Spanish national or urban police corps.
Goof (factual errors): The Spanish dialect heard in the episode has the distinctive phonology and verb conjugation of the varieties spoken in northern Mexico and the South-Western United States, including the absent of the so called "Castilian lisp" typical of the standard form in Spain. People in the Valencian autonomous region also speak a Catalan dialect known as Valencian which doesn't appear in the episode.
Goof (continuity error): The exterior establishing night fly by shot of the helicopter the team is flying in is a Bell Jet Ranger. All the interior and day shots are of a Bell UH-1 "Huey", which Sgt Brown comments on in the subsequent scene.
Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): A "Permanent Change of Station" is referred to as a "PCS", not "Change of Station". Example: "It's her first PCS", not "It's her first Change of Station".
Goof (revealing mistake): When Jonas blows up the gas station, one of the 55 gallon drums is launched into the air prior to the explosion going off.
Goof (factual errors): Pretty much every time one of the characters was in ACUs (the digitized Army uniform) they are missing unit patches, rank, pretty much all Velcro insignia. All Army authorized ACUs have these Velcro patches on them.
Goof (factual errors): The figures given for the amount of life insurance the military pays is incorrect and lower than the actual figures.
Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Only Soldiers and their legal dependents may live in post quarters. If a fiancé was living on post, that family would be violating housing policies and be subject to eviction from post housing.
Goof (factual errors): SPOILER: Trains cannot stop "on a dime". Even a train going as slow as 30 MPH takes about 715 feet and about 26 seconds to stop when the emergency brakes are applied.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): While the team is en route to the bomb site, the shadow of the camera and boom mic are visible on the hood of the Bonneville.

Goof (anachronisms): The safety sign on the mine in West Africa is in English, Afrikaans and Zulu because the diamond mine scenes were filmed in South Africa where Afrikaans and Zulu are spoken in addition to English.
Goof (revealing mistake): While in Florence, Italy, the Audi that Charles and Hector drive away in has the North American style recessed license plate holder with a long, narrow Italian plate over it.
Goof (continuity error): When Chrystal arrives at her trailer for for dinner, she is no longer driving the Mustang GT which she purchased in an earlier episode, but a V6 Mustang.
Goof (factual errors): When Jonas gets the operational plan from the safe, it is classified "Top Secret-No FORN." "No FORN" stands for "No Foreign Nationals" meaning that the information in the plan cannot be shared with non-US personnel. He hands the plan to the Korean skipper for him to look over. Additionally, the cover of the plan is in Korean. A "No FORN" plan would only need to be in English since foreign nationals are not allowed access.
Goof (factual errors): Jonas consults his handheld GPS receiver and determines that the sub is 13 miles off course. The GPS signal can't be received underwater, much less inside of a steel can. Subs can only receive VLF (Very Low Frequency) signals underwater and then only an antenna outside of the sub's hull.
Goof (factual errors): The credits list the character played by Conor O'Farrell as "Major General Heath". However, the uniform he is wearing displays three stars on his shoulders. This is the rank of an army Lieutenant General, not a Major General.
Goof (continuity error): At the start of the episode, you can see a C-130 aircraft flying as if Alpha team is en route somewhere. When the camera shows the interior of the aircraft with the team in it, it is a lot smaller than an actual C-130 cargo bay.
Goof (anachronisms): In the shot where you can see the front of the U.N. the flag of the German Democratic Republic is visible. The GDR joined the Federal Republic of Germany in 1989.
Goof (miscellaneous): Although the team members are located in Hamburg, Germany, none of the passing cars are mounted with German license plates. German cars have white plates, both at the front and at the back. Most cars in passing by have white plates in the front and yellow plates in the back making them French and the 75 ending tells us the cars are registered in Paris. One passing (local) taxi is even mounted with Spanish looking plates.
Goof (factual errors): The members of The Unit say "I repeat" on their comm systems a number of times. Since "repeat" is an artillery command to fire upon previously given coordinates, Army personnel always say "I say again" instead of "I repeat".
Goof (continuity error): John G. Connolly who plays the German CT head, Keller, has an injury to his right eye (looks like a couple capillaries popped) in the scenes that take place in the beginning and the end - the black tie parties. The scenes in between show him without the blemish. He obviously had the injury during the day they filmed both scenes which breaks continuity a bit.
