MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: The medical examiner, describing the bullet that killed Hector, says that it "looks like it came through the neck here, snapping the cerebral cortex . . . ." The phrase "snapping the cerebral cortex" doesn't make any sense. From the X-ray, the bullet appears to have passed through the fifth cervical vertebra (C5). Injuries to C5 are not necessarily fatal, but in this case the bullet caused extensive secondary damage.
