MISTAKES/GOOFS

• MISC: This is a matter of both anachronism and continuity. In the scenes along the riverbank, the trees are bare and the ground is covered with dead leaves, indicating that the season is late autumn. But the Battle of Gettysburg occurred in early July. In addition, the "late autumn" depiction in those scenes doesn't match all of the other scenes, which correctly show the trees full of green leaves.
• SYNC: When Machiavelli is fleeing from Doug and Tony, he is heard laughing, even though his mouth isn't moving.
• DATE: During the scene where Tony and the Major split up and cross the river, you can see a modern highway bridge in the background.
• CONT: SPOILER: In 'The Night of the Long Knives,' Tony has a bullet skim his head and was believed to be dead by Ann. General Kirk tells her "If he were dead we wouldn't be able to keep a fix on him." Meanwhile, when Tony is killed by a shell in 'The Death Merchant,' Ann and Ray are able to keep a fix on him.
• FAKE: In the opening scene, one of the soldiers begins to fall to the ground before the bomb blows up behind him.
