Maggie is determined not to end up like her drug-addled and lovesick sister Jackie.

She's in love with Jimmy, and is hoping to someday have a nice life and a house of her own to run.

But the return of Freddie into everyone's lives shakes things up massively for everyone. Freddie has his eye on Maggie, and it's clear early on that no one will be spared his wrath in the end.

Though, on the surface, Maggie would appear to be appalled by the criminal lifestyle, she's willing to turn a blind eye to the financial spoils it provides for her family.

She wants a nice homelife; a devoted husband; 2.4 children; the whole package – at any cost.

Though the family talks a great deal about the importance of trust and loyalty, the truth is that behind closed doors the family is infected with such ferocious jealousy and betrayal that the future looks bleak for everyone involved.
