Summary: Tony decides to escort Meadow to Maine where she is going to look at prospective colleges. While there, he notices an old "friend" and his trip quickly changes from helping his daughter along her educational way, to just helping her survive the weekend. Meanwhile, Carmela, who is back home and suffering from the flu, gets a surprising visit from Father Phil and a even bigger surprise phone call from Dr. Melfi.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: When Father Phil is hearing the confession of Carmilla, in her living room, the purple strip of material he places around his neck continually changes throughout the scene from above his collar to beneath his collar.
CONT: When Tony carries Meadow to her room, the number on the door is 22. But the next morning they leave room 20. Earlier Fred Peters read on the cleaning lady's list that Meadow was staying in room 20 and Tony in room 21.
CONT: During the conversation between Tony and Meadow over dinner in the restaurant, the bra strap on Meadow's right shoulder appears and disappears.
CONT: Tony drives his gray town car during the whole trip with Meadow. Nevertheless, he is driving his red SUV when they arrive home at the end of it.
DATE: Although Camela says she has purchased "Remains of the Day" on DVD, it wasn't released on digital video disc format until 2001.

HBO execs were initially opposed to Tony Soprano murdering someone because they felt that it would make him an unlikable character. Producer David Chase (II) convinced them that the audience understood that Tony is a mobster with his own sense of ethics.
Creator David Chase (II) has described this as "the ultimate Sopranos episode."
All of the scenes taking place in Maine were actually filmed in rural New Jersey. The scenes taking place in Maine's Bowdoin College were filmed at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
