FAIR: When Krusty goes to take a bite, the close up isn't him at all. The man in the close up's face is yellow, not white, and he has a regular pair of lips, not the monkey style like Krusty and Homer. This is, of course, on purpose, to imply that Krusty didn't really eat the burger, and that the commercial's production values are shoddy.

This episode was originally aired on 17th of May, the Norwegian Constitution Day, and contained a number of Norwegian references.
In the intro, when spoofing Cheers, Sideshow Bob walks in, forcing the family to flee. This is a reference to Kelsey Grammer (who voices Sideshow Bob) playing the character Dr. Frasier Crane on "Cheers" (1982).
After the 20th season wrapped, The Simpsons' next episode has Bart write on the chalkboard, "High-definition is worth every penny."
According to Marge, Maggie says her first words which are in Ogdenese. Maggie says "Ja, Ja" (pronounced Ya, Ya). The actress/actor who voices her words are uncredited.
