Dan Castellaneta spoofs his own character in this episode. In a dream sequence that Homer has, a blue genie (voiced by Castellaneta) talks to him, who is obviously a spoof of the iconic Genie character from Disney's Aladdin franchise. Castellaneta provided the voice of the actual Genie in The Return of Jafar (1994) (V) and the cartoon series "Aladdin" (1994).
