Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (plot holes): In the auditions for Fallout Boy, Bart got rejected because he's an inch too short and Milhouse got accepted; however, Bart is taller than Milhouse.
Trivia
- During the battle with the Scoutmaster's "henchmen," two of the words that appear as sound effects, "SNUH!!" and "BORT!!" are words previously used in the series: SNUH is the acronym for Marge's public interest group, "Springfieldians for Nonviolence, Understanding, and Helping" (from "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge"), and "BORT" is the name on a novelty license plate Bart finds in the gift shop in "Itchy and Scratchy Land."
- Matt Groening mentioned that Rainer Wolfcastle's quote "Ah! My eyes! The goggles, they do nothing!" is one of his favorite quotes of the seventh season.
- This was the first Simpsons episode to use computer coloring.
