Summary: When Lisa's teacher Miss Hoover gets Lyme Disease, Mr. Bergstrom takes over the class. Lisa finds Mr. Bergstrom's teaching methods incredibly inspiring and discovers an entirely new love for learning. When Miss Hoover returns to her class, Lisa is devastated to lose her most positive grown-up role model. Eventually, she realizes that while Mr. Bergstrom was one of a kind, she can find role models in other people, including her own father.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: Lisa's classroom is shown to be on the first floor of the building in the beginning of the episode. Later it is shown to be on the second floor
CONT: According to Bart's narration of his "kittens" video he shows his class, Snowball II was a kitten that the first Snowball had. But in "The Simpsons" (1989) {Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire (#1.1)}, it's clearly stated that Snowball II was bought.

TRIVIA

Dustin Hoffman had to do some voice pick-ups after his initial recording session. He ended up doing them from his trailer on the set of Hook (1991).
Dustin Hoffman is credited here under the name Sam Etic. This is most likely a reference to the word "Semitic", since his character here is Jewish.
