  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Danny tells her date to wait a moment, she holds up one finger with her left hand. The next camera angle shows her doing it with her right.
  • Goof (continuity error): Officer Sofer has no stripes on her uniform in the "Pilot" episode but has two stripes (for her Police Officer 3 rank) in "Our Gang" - which is set just minutes after the end of "Pilot." Also in the "Co-Pilot" episode in series two, which is set before the "Pilot" episode, she has the two stripes.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Danny and Julien are questioning Lamont about the slashed tires at the motel. They begin talking to him in front of a room door and a crew member appears on the left of the door, in the next angle its a plant, and then again its a crew member. This may only be visible in the wide-screen DVD version.
  • Goof (continuity error): When the Strike Team raids the home of Two-Time, they drive by Dodger Stadium with lights on and a full parking lot. This would leave one to believe a game was in progress. Most night games in Major League Baseball begin around 7pm. Later at the hospital when Capt. Aceveado announces Officer Crowley's condition he says that at 1:30am a call for help was made from the spot of the shooting. It is very unlikely that the game lasted over 6 hours. It is just as unlikely that the Team just sat around the scene for a few hours before making the call in either.
  • Goof (continuity error): When Danny is sitting in the break room after Dutch leaves, her hands alternate between pouring sugar in her coffee, holding her coffee cup and having her hands draped across her knee in between shots as she's talking to Vic about meeting up after work.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Vic tells David Aceveda that he won't listen to him on Cinco De Mayo, Vic's microphone wire is visible under his shirt.
  • Goof (continuity error): During the episode "Dawg Days" after Thurmond's mother calls the police because her deceased son's body was taken from his grave, her glasses alternate between being on her face and off her face between shots.
  • Goof (continuity error): When Julien is talking to Thurmond's mother, she is alternately wearing/not wearing glasses.
  • Goof (continuity error): In the scene in the Strike Team's club house were Vic Mackey tells Officer Sofer that he "took care of it" Vic can be seen cleaning his gun. When Officer Sofer enters the room Vic is just about to begin to clean the barrel, but when the shot changes he is part way through and removes the brush.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): As Vic is running around the corner through to the alley, to where the car's horn is blaring, the legs of the camera crew running next to him are visible.
  • Goof (continuity error): While Shane is searching for the Navigator after it goes missing, he says he is looking for a black Navigator, but the Navigator is actually blue.
  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Danni refers to Margos Dezerian (the Armenian killer) as a "Balkan freak". Armenia is in the Caucasus not the Balkans.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): There is a cameraman standing behind Maureen in the shot where Aceveda comes to apologize at Maureen's house.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): As Julien is about to be given his blanket party, you can clearly see the cameraman and boom technician running along the grass behind him.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): In the scene where Shane goes to sell drugs to Herk, after Tulipz mentions his need for Viagra, two microphones are visible for a split second before the camera changes angle.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): (at around 33 mins) A camera is visible on the right side of the screen slowly moving to his right, exposing him even more into the shot. The hand of the cameraman is also exposed for a brief second.
  • Goof (factual errors): When the SWAT team goes into the apartment complex after Shane and Vic arrest Frogger, the magazine in one of the officer's MP5 is inserted backwards.
  • Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): Mackey can be heard during a conversation with Lanie but his lips aren't moving. He can be seen looking directly at the camera and standing next to Aceveda.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): (at around 56 mins) When Vic and Shane walks into Kern Little's studio you see one of the cameramen behind Vic's back.
  • Goof (factual errors): On the show uniformed officers wear their badges on the right side of their uniform. All Police Departments in the State of California wear the badge on the left side, over the heart.

  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): In a scene when Vic with his crew goes to Radiohead's crib a cameraman is fully visible on a left side of the frame, right next to the back-door entrance where Lem came in.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): When the Strike Team enter Radiohead's house; shortly after Radiohead being disarmed, a camera man is visible in the other room to the left.
  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Aceveda refers to the MP5s that Mackey has been searching for as a rifle. The MP5 is a sub-machine gun, not a rifle.
  • Goof (continuity error): Julian rips a gold chain off a suspect's neck. In the next shot, from behind the suspect, he is still wearing the chain.
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): Detective Claudette Wyms enters the child pornographer's apartment as the camera pans the room a crew member, wearing a hat, can be seen.
  • Goof (continuity error): Near the end episode, Vic shoots and kills Marcos. We see him pick up Marcos's gun with his pen and place it next to his body. Initially, we see the grip pointing away from the body. When the next view is over Marcos's body we see that the gun is now facing the opposite way (grip facing Marcos).
  • Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Vic Mackey and Monica Rawling first meet Antwon Mitchell at the "cook-out," you can clearly see the shadow of the camera on the wall.
  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Joanne Faulks is introduced in What Power Is (#3.10) she has a British accent. When she comes to visit Detective Wagenbach in Judas Priest (#4.12) to ask about a carrying permit she has no British accent.
  • Goof (factual errors): When talking about the Hispanic "grandma" who's part of the sex slave ring, Lem says, "She did a dime and a half in Chowchilla 30 years ago". Central California Woman's Facility in Chowchilla opened in 1990, while the Valley State Prison for Women opened in 1995. Prior to their opening, no woman's prisons existed in Chowchilla.
