May 4, 2011: Following weeks of speculation on the future of The Sarah Jane Adventures in the wake of leading star Elizabeth Sladen's passing in April 2011, the BBC has now confirmed there will be no further serials made of the program.
However, six episodes (three serials) were filmed before Sladen died, and they will be aired on CBBC as a tribute to Sladen at a future date.
