Season 5 Trivia

  • Episode 17 - At the beginning Rockford has just had dental surgery which concludes a running gag about his dental troubles. On several earlier shows, the recorded telephone messages concern his failures to keep his dental appointments which eventually results in his dental surgery.
  • Episode 22 - Goof (continuity error): After Dr Yost rigged the exhaust in Rockford's rental car causing Rockford to nearly lose consciousness while driving, Rockford jumped out of the car just before it went off the cliff. However, the Lincoln Continental he jumped out of was a late 1980's model; the car that flew off
  • Episode 12 - Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): On the steps, Cooper yells, "Dive Jim!" and you see Jim lay down behind a tree. When the camera shows Cooper again, he grabs his chest and falls down, but you don't hear a gun shot until after he has fallen.
  • Episode 20 - When Jimmy Joe Meeker buys Larry Litrell's car, he pays him from a large wad of bills; those that can be seen are of the $1,000 denomination.
  • Episode 16 - Goof (continuity error): When Jim visits the office of Horvath and Horvath, he is carrying a briefcase, but when he leaves, he is not carrying the case.
