FAKE: Susan Alexander (Joan Van Ark) displays the magazine article in the restaurant scene at the end of the episode to show the picture of Jim Rockford holding a pistol. While the article does show her byline as the author, the words that supposedly go with the story below his picture are just random phrases strung together. Although this can be seen easily today with the stop-motion capabilities of a VCR or DVD player, it is even evident in the brief shot that could have been seen by 1970s television viewers.

A man flees the scene of a murder at the Atwater house, and when the police arrive Rockford tells them the perpetrator fled in a blue Chevy when it's actually a blue Oldsmobile. With Garner's real life knowledge of cars this one is surprising.
