Jim Rockford is a private investigator who lives and works out of his trailer in Malibu, Los Angeles. Convicted of a crime he didn't commit, Jim spent five years in San Quentin before being pardoned and released. Jim is helped by friends and allies, including father Rocky, pal police lieutenant Dennis Becker, his ex-cellmate Evelyn "Angel" Martin, and his defense attorney Beth Davenport.
