The climate in the zoo is very cold and King Julien, Marlene, and the other animals in the zoo are somewhat having problems with the weather.
Skipper and the other penguins have heat lamps on in the fashion of tanning beds. They are relaxing and enjoying by playing volleyball. Their quiet day is then interrupted when Alice brings in a doctor of science who wants to study the penguins.
The penguins then turn off their heat lamps and put away everything they have, including the heat lamps and volleyball net. Alice allows the doctor to study penguins, but is strangely hit by the penguins' volleyball. The doctor sits down and Skipper starts to calm down considering that he can not last long because of the weather, but the scientist turns on a heat lamp.
Skipper can't take the elements and instructs the penguins to set up fake copies of themselves while they head out to change everything. Skipper increases the steam output of the furnace which also goes to Marlene, Julien and every other animal's habitat.
They head back, but Skipper is spotted by Alice and fail the operation before a cooling line is installed. Alice cages the penguins and puts radio-controls on them. The penguins decide they have to face the doctor until he leaves by engaging in strange poses of mating, much to their dislike.
Skipper realizes the zoo will blow up in two hours, but he is still radio-tagged. He eventually decides to get some help. He grabs a slingshot and fires a radio to the lemurs' habitat. While Julien, Maurice, and Mort are relaxing, they retrieve the radio and Skipper starts to give Julien instructions on how to save the zoo.
Kowalski then tells Julien that they have to press a scarlet button, but all the buttons turn out to be red. Mort then touches one, but, it turns out, the lemurs hooked it up to the A.C., by mistake. The furnace begins to explode and traps with fire are set up. Julien finally decides to get through the traps and saves the zoo after getting blown out of their plastic volcano.
The animals celebrate over Julien's victory while the doctor returns and shows his audience his findings, which shows the penguins engaging in various high-fives.
