TRIVIA

The film Johnny and Marissa are watching is Rebel Without a Cause (1955), and the scene playing is the one where the three "rebels" are in the empty mansion's empty pool, which is like, in a lot of ways, when Marissa, Ryan and Seth were in the model home, near the empty pool.
