Summary: Marissa adjusts to her new school and begins making friends at Newport Union, while Ryan worries that their separation will affect their relationship. Seth's anger with the Dean gets Summer in trouble, but when Summer uncovers shocking information about Taylor, they might have a way to bring the Dean down. Meanwhile, Sandy finds himself determining the future of the Newport Group and Julie finds herself in less than ideal surroundings.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: Taylor comes to Summer to tell her that Dean Hess knows that Seth didn't steal the tiki hut alone. Taylor's pink sweater changes back and forth from on her shoulders to around her neck seven times.

TRIVIA

Ryan and Marissa's song is the re-release of the 1980's classic "Forever Young" song by Alphaville. This version is by the "Youth Group" - one of the many newly discovered talents that make this program what it is.
This is the first episode of The O.C. where we see more of Summer's house than just her pink bedroom. We see the front of her house, the ground floor hallway and her backyard with the pool.
