TRIVIA

The show normally opens up with the phrase, "Previously on The O.C." but in the show where Seth, Ryan, Marissa and Summer get stuck in a mall, the show doesn't open with that phrase, or shows recaps of past shows.
At the end of the episode when Marissa asks Ryan "Who are you?" and Ryan replies with a French fry in his mouth, "Whoever you want me to be." This is a reference to the Pilot episode when Ryan is standing outside the Cohen's house and smoking a cigarette and they exchanged the same words.
This is the only episode of the series that did not contain a "Previously" montage at the beginning of the episode.
