Episode Quotes

Summer Roberts: Go to sleep in a mall and wake up in a mall. Come on, it's like being awake, but still dreaming.
Seth Cohen: [sees Sandy working under the kitchen sink] Oh, father, I'm glad to see you finally found your calling.
Caleb Nichol: Exactly what I said.
Sandy Cohen: Nothing like a good crack about a plumber.
Seth Cohen: Now that you and I are back together and Lindsay's out of the picture, who knows, maybe Marissa and Ryan might get it together.
Summer Roberts: Are you crazy? There were, like, the worst couple ever. And besides, Marissa's happy now.
Seth Cohen: Okay. And by happy you mean... you mean gay.
Summer Roberts: That's funny.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (continuity error): In the first season Jimmy Cooper says that he lives in a house full of vegetarians. Yet in "The Mallpisode" Marissa is seen eating a cheeseburger at the diner.

Trivia

  • At the end of the episode when Marissa asks Ryan "Who are you?" and Ryan replies with a French fry in his mouth, "Whoever you want me to be." This is a reference to the Pilot episode when Ryan is standing outside the Cohen's house and smoking a cigarette and they exchanged the same words.
  • This is the only episode of the series that did not contain a "Previously" montage at the beginning of the episode.
