Season 5 Trivia

  • Episode 05 - This is the first episode of the series to not feature all five cast members. This is due to the fact that the episode takes place before Van Pelt comes onto the team. Amanda Righetti is the only main cast member to not appear in every episode as of the airing of "Red, White, and Blue."
  • Episode 07 - Goof (factual errors): When Jane drives up to the prison, the SUV is marked "Department of Corrections". The guard tells Jane it is a federal prison. If that were the case, the vehicle would be marked "Bureau of Prisons".
  • Episode 08 - Goof (continuity error): When Jane breaks his car window and then later Lisbon concludes that he was taken from his car, we see large amounts of glass covering the entirety of the front driver's seat, but if he was sitting in the car when the window was broken, there wouldn't be much, if any, glass on the
  • Episode 05 - Although the initial intertitle indicates that the first scene takes place "several years ago," the viewer can pinpoint the span of years as somewhere between January 2003 and January 2005. This is because a photo of President George W. Bush, who served between 2001 and 2005, is hanging on the wall near
  • Episode 07 - Goof (factual errors): The car accident would have been handled by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The fictitious CBI as a criminal investigative agency would not be called to a traffic accident.
