Loosely based on real-life bounty hunters Dottie and Brandy Thorson. Dottie was the wife of bounty hunter Ralph "Papa" Thorson, subject of the movie The Hunter (1980).
In real life, actor James Doohan used to live across the street from the Thorsons and even was allowed to go with Ralph Thorson on a few of his hunts.
