[show]Peter Marshall and his partner Tommy Noonan discovered the comedy team of Dan Rowan and Dick Martin, and helped get their careers started by introducing them to their agent. When Marshall was offered The Hollywood Squares he was initially reluctant to take the job, but accepted the offer, when he was told the producers were going to hire Rowan for the host position if he would not take it.
