- Guest star Kent Zbornak allowed producers of "The Golden Girls" to use his last name for the character Bea Arthur plays Dorothy Zbornak.
- James T. Callahan, who played Dorothy's 11th-grade English teacher, Mr. Gordon, was actually 8 years younger than Bea Arthur (who played Dorothy).
