- Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): During the opening credits on a few season 1 segments, a bark is heard approximately four seconds before Scruffy (V) appears.
- The name of the family dog was Scruffy.
- "Gull Cottage" is located in Santa Barbara. It is quite a bit inland and does not overlook the ocean. Clever editing made it seem that it did.
