The onscreen series title was spelled "the forgotten", with no upper case letters.
Donavan Doe, which became episode #15, was originally episode #17, the finale. However, when the show was canceled, the finale was aired sooner. The remaining two episodes, Designer Jane and Living Doe, both aired later, during the summer, on July 3, 2010.
Steele, the former prosecutor, worked at the law firm of "Winston and Kirk" an obvious combination of the actual Chicago law firms of "Winston & Strawn" and "Kirkland and Ellis."
During the opening credits, Lindsey says she couldn't find any leads on the name Hope. At that moment, the credit for director Nathan Hope appears on screen.
