Episode 24 - At the end of this series' fifth season, with CBS ready to renew it for at least another year, Doris Day (I) in effect "canceled" her own series. She held a press conference and announced that in five years, she believed "all that could be done with this material" had been done, ...

Episode 09 - The title comes from the musical The Music Man with book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Willson. The original production won the Tony for Best musical and starred Robert Preston and Barbara Cook.
Episode 16 - The title comes from the 1956 novel The Last Hurrah written by Edwin O'Connor that achieved great popularity due to the 1958 movie adaptation starring Spencer Tracy.
