Lukretzia using her guile on the king of France was amazing. Then when his Holiness changed his garb and handled the king wow. The epitome of the Borgia family. But the handling of Lukretzia's husband at the end was hilarious. |

Fantastic costumes and characters cannot take the focus from a series of schemes and plots. A show that focuses on 15th century church politics, where Jeremy Irons is Rodrigo Borgia the pope and Francois Arnaud is his son Cesare Borgia. It is not far from historical truth, at least in the first episode where a number of characters are introduced and some of them promptly die. It is a must see for fans of history based TV shows and "Tudors" fans should definitely check it out. |
