Since its premiere in 1987, the show has become the most-watched soap in the world, with an audience of an estimated 26.2 million viewers. As of 2010, it continues to hold on to the second-placed position in weekly Nielsen Ratings. B&B has also won 31 Daytime Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Drama Series in 2009 and again in 2010.

    Between 2003 and 2005 the actress' portraying Phoebe and Steffy were changed three times. Jordan Mella and Chandler Mella assumed the roles from Brynne and Cameryn McNabb. Jordan & Chandler held the role for only a few episodes before they were replaced by Kylie Tyndall and Keaton Tyndall. Kylie and Keaton went on to hold the role for over a year before the characters were aged and replaced by, Alex Hoover and Addison Hoover who became the first twins to contract the role. After 6 months and a handful of episodes Alex and Addison were dropped to recurring status and later replaced by Mackenzie Mauzy resulting in the disappearance of one twin.
