Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (continuity error): In 'The Griffin Equivalency', just after Wolowitz makes the 'Apu from the Kwik-E-Mart' joke, Leonard walks to the kitchen and starts unpacking the takeaway. He firstly takes out 2 portion cups, then in the next shot he takes out 2 again. However, there are only 3 portion cups on the table.
- Goof (continuity error): When the guys are eating Chinese food, the second time. Leonard and Howard's Chinese cartons changes in their hands, periodically throughout the scene.
Trivia
- When contemplating replacing Raj in their group of friends, the other three guys realize their ideal friend (someone they could trust, someone who always has their back, has money, live in a cool house by the beach for throwing parties, loves technology, and knows a lot of women), is Tony Stark.
- Raj introduces Penny to his parents as his girlfriend.
- The title refers to a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions.
- Raj's planetary object, 2008-NQ17, is fictitious, though its designation implies that it was the 220th minor planet discovered during the first fifteen days of July 2008; although analysis of old photographs can result in late additions, considerably fewer than 220 discoveries have been made over that period and it is highly unlikely that number will ever be assigned.
- It is revealed that Penny is 22 years old.
