Episode 01 - Barney Fife mentions that he and Andy Taylor are cousins.
Episode 10 - In "Ellie for Council", Barney is seen dating Hilda May, who is again mentioned in "Christmas Story".
Episode 32 - The title is based on the Cary Grant / Katharine Hepburn screwball comedy Bringing Up Baby (1938).
Episode 12 - This is the only episode in which Floyd the Barber is played as a sleepy, laid back individual by Walter Baldwin. Subsequently, he was played as an excitable individual by Howard McNear.
