After the 1955-1962 seasons of Alfred Hitcock Presents, NBC decided to expand this popular suspense anthology series to an hour in length and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour was the result. This expanded series ran for three seasons in addition to the seven seasons in which the original series aired.
