Episode Quotes
Sarah Connor: [referring to Ellison] We're going into ZeiraCorp with or without him. When we're done, it'll be ashes.
John Henry: There is a bible story of two brothers, Cain and Able. God favoured Able. Cain killed him. God cursed Cain and ordered him to wander the world alone.
Catherine Weaver: I'm familiar with the story.
John Henry: Which brother am I?
Catherine Weaver: I don't know, John Henry. Perhaps you're neither. Perhaps, in this story... you are God.

John Henry: What would happen if he knew?
Catherine Weaver: Knew what?
John Henry: That you aren't Savannah's mother? That you aren't anyone's mother?
Catherine Weaver: Are you threatening me, John Henry?
John Henry: I could tell Mr. Ellison.
Catherine Weaver: You could. But that would be unfortunate - mostly for Mr. Ellison.

Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): During the role playing game, when John Henry encounters the Mind Flayer, he rolls the twenty sided die and claims to have rolled a "20". However, the 1 is clearly visible as one of the side faces showing to the camera. The "20" is on the opposite side to the "1" (all opposite faces of a twenty sided die add up to 21). So he has definitely not rolled a "20". In fact, from the angle of the two faces shown (the "1" and "19"), John Henry has rolled a "7".
Trivia
- This is the first of two consecutive episodes, the other being _Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" (2008) {Born to Run (#2.22)}_, named after songs written/performed by Bruce Springsteen. "Adam Raised a Cain" appeared on his 1978 album "Darkness on the Edge of Town".
- When Catherine Weaver offers to sing a song with Savannah, Savannah tells her that she can't sing. In reality, Shirley Manson, who played Weaver became famous for being a singer.
- SPOILER: The song that John Henry and Savannah sing in this episode is a Scottish folk song written by Andy Stewart, entitled "Donald, Where's Your Troosers?." The original song is more merry than this episode's rendition. Although it may seem odd that Savannah, a little girl raised in America, would choose an obscure Scottish folk song to teach to John Henry, it seems plausible that it was her mother, Catherine Weaver, a Scotswoman, who had taught her the song. In effect, the song has been taught to the child by a robot, who in turn asked her to teach another robot to sing it.
