Elizabeth's Father: There are some things better left undone.

PLOT: Chaney's monster breaks BOTH ends of the prop wire before he is "electrocuted" by its current.
CONT: When Matthew the butler pumps the last few bullets into the monster, the gun is pointed into the groin area.
CREW: While Frankenstein is talking to his wife and later while the announcer is talking, the sound of stagehands cleaning up the lab set can be heard.
FAKE: A confused Chaney, reportedly thinking he was at a dress rehearsal and unaware that he was live, sets some expensive-looking furniture down gingerly and only mimics throwing it saying aloud, "Save it for the show."
CREW: Just as the camera cuts to the announcer, an off-stage hand can be seen pulling away from his face.

According to Chaney biographer Don Smith, the actor was drinking during rehearsals of the show and damaged props which had to be replaced. When the show was actually shot, an inebriated Chaney was under the impression that it was a dress rehearsal and gingerly laid the furniture down instead of throwing it as he should. He can be heard saying "Save for the show" when he uncharacteristically lays down a chair.
