Tak, a 14-year-old shaman's assistant, has the magical power of juju, an ability usually reserved for 177-year-old shamans. For most teenagers, Juju power would be a recipe for success, but, because of Tak's combination of imagination and irresponsibility, his powers only get him, his friends, the Pupununu villagers, and the Jujus in trouble.
