Sweating Bullets (a.k.a. Tropical Heat) stars Rob Stewart as Nick Slaughter and Carolyn Dunn as Sylvie Girard. Slaughter is a jaded ex-RCMP and DEA agent who drops out of society to relocate in the fictitious Florida town of Key Mariah. Joined by Girard, a beautiful local travel agent, he is surrounded by murder, mystery and intrigue as well as voodoo, smugglers, kidnapping, drugs and the Mafia.

In fact, the show was originally aired under the title "Detektiv u raju", meaning "A Detective in Paradise".
