Episode 01 - The host that Lucifer takes is named "Nick". In some traditions, the devil is referred to as "Old Nick."
Episode 02 - When asked if these problems come from space, Dean comments that this "is not X-Files." Actor Steven Williams (Rufus) is best known for playing Mr. X in "The X Files" (1993).
Episode 05 - Dean introduces himself and Sam as Agents Bonham and Copeland. Both are the last names of drummers. John Bonham was the drummer for Led Zeppelin. Stewart Copeland (I) was the drummer for The Police.
